Sayville Band Students Give First-Rate Performance
at the 53rd Annual Mid-Island Band Festival

Eighteen Sayville students participated in the 53rd Annual Mid-Island Band Festival, recently held on January 28. The festival, comprised of students from six school bands which, in addition to Sayville, included Hauppauge High School, Patchogue-Medford High School, Port Jefferson High School, and Sachem High Schools North and East, was a celebration of amazing musical talent. Congratulations to our music students (listed below) who were selected for this honor as well as the eight who were chosen to sit First Chair!

Also congratulation to their directors Mr. Andrew Giammalvo, Mr. Peter DeSalvo, and the entire music department for developing the musical acumen in our students for which Sayville is renowned
