More than ONE Warm Coat

  • Donating More than One Warm Coat

Responding again to the One Warm Coat annual appeal for donations of lightly-used coats, the Sayville Middle School HOPE Club students, under the guidance of co-advisors Mrs. Galima and Mrs. Rooney, took action. “Hope Club members made posters and announcements,” said Mrs. Galima, “and our school was very generous. Over 200 coats were collected.”

Both Sayville Eighth grader Kyra Bachety and her mom, who are regular participants of the national nonprofit One Warm Coat drive, elected to gather the Middle School coats and deliver them to local area school districts, ensuring that each student in need received one warm coat for winter.
