Sayville High School Players

  • Barefoot in the Park, Neil Simon’s longest-running Broadway comedy production enjoyed the spotlight in Sayville Little Theatre with multiple casts. The humorous trials of newlyweds, Corie and Paul, adjusting to unpredictable life in a New York City apartment, involved absurd situations and smart answers. Four lead actresses (Hannah Russell, Catherine Rico, Kelsey Truglio, Qxiara Tomasetti) comprised the role of the spontaneous Corie, three (Kayleigh Brennan, Andrea DeVenuto, and Kim Colavito) personified Corie’s unadventurous mother Ethel, two actors (Liam Hofmeister and Miles Whittaker) shared the role of the quite conservative lawyer Paul, and two (Christian Savini and Andrew Campbell) embodied the whacky neighbor Victor Velasco over five performances. No matter what the combinations, each cast delivered energetic acting and comic timing as the bride and groom found mutual ground getting off the window ledge and running “barefoot in the park.” Congratulations!
