Spreading Good Cheer Districtwide - Link to Holiday Music performed by our students

  • Spreading Good Cheer

    with Good News and

    Melodies of the Season

In Sayville Schools, helping others is an ongoing activity that doesn’t begin or end with the holiday season. Year round, Sayville School District personnel and students open up their hearts and wallets for a variety of clothing, handcrafted items, coats, toy, and book drives to benefit those less fortunate or our soldiers overseas. They participate in hands-on services like Habitat for Humanity, visit nursing homes, and interact with our Veterans. Most importantly, our school children learn the value of giving and helping others, while our staff feels renewed by the spirit of generosity their efforts instill.

To mention but a few happening this holiday season does not diminish the efforts made all year, but it is nice to know the extent to which our Sayville School District gives back to the community.

Recently, the High School community hosted a holiday party for the students at the Sayville Academic Center, the Middle School fundraised for the Lustgarten Cancer Research Foundation with knitted and crochet crafts, the elementary schools held their Giving Trees, and the Administration Building collected for local families and Toys for Tots. Sayville School Employees Charitable Foundation” continues to help local charities with donations from Sayville school employees via a deduction from their paychecks.

So, to acknowledge this special time of year, wishing everyone hope and happiness this holiday season!
