Sayville Students and Staff participated in the 2007 Sayville Summer Series

To encourage wellness, the Sayville School District had invited students and staff of all ages to participate in the 2007 Sayville Summer Series, and ninety-three responded.

In all weather they came out to run or walk in at least one of the four races. While some Middle School and High School students were experienced cross country, or track and field athletes, others proved they were ready and fit to accept the challenge.

The youngest elementary student, who participated in the 3rd Annual Keith Nintzel Memorial 5K-Run Walk (the first of the series on June 9), was seven! Sayville Board Member Keith Kolar was among the throng, along with teachers and staff from each elementary school, Middle School, and High School.

Even if they missed the first one, the participants had three more chances to prove their prowess, which is exactly what they did in the subsequent races, the 4th Annual 5K Shwachman-Diamond Dash (June 16), the 10th Annual Sayville 4-Mile Run/Walk & BBQ (July 29), and the 27th Annual Sayville Summer Festival 4-Mile Run (August 4).

Congratulations and thank you to all (see attached list) who strutted their stuff for worthy causes.
