Building Friendships at Sunrise Drive

Everyone knows that we all have some attributes that make us successful and others that need some “fine tuning.” It is that diversity that helps us learn from each other.  At Sunrise Drive Mrs. Maggio-Straub and Mrs. Harrington have been using this knowledge to develop a friendship group called Circle of Friends. This group is composed of students who need to sharpen their social and friendship-making skills with students highly skilled in this area. Circle of Friends promotes peer understanding and acceptance while building friendships, having fun, and fostering successful inclusion.

All the students in the circle now see that they really do have more in common with each other than not, and friendships have grown.
