Lindskog's and Finley's Eighth Graders Demonstrate Strength in STRIDES Video

  • See how Sayville Middle School students in Mrs. Lindskog’s and Mr. Finley’s classes are staying strong, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine. For the final S.T.R.I.D.E.S. theme for the academic year, these students submitted video clips to demonstrate STRENGTH.

Since Student Services Director Jillian Makris launched the District’s Social Emotional Learning initiative in the fall, Sayville S.T.R.I.D.E.S. (an acronym for Self-Esteem, Trust, Resiliency, Independence, Diversity, Empathy, and Strength) has been helping all our students stay positive. After focusing on one attribute per month throughout the year, the final trait—Strength—has been May’s theme.

Thank you to our students and teachers for participating.
