Senior Breakfast Class of 2022

Class of 2022 Senior Breakfast - November 24, 2021

  • Glittering streamers, balloons, and centerpieces welcomed the Class of 2022 to the cafeteria for the annual Senior Breakfast, a privilege enjoyed by generations of Sayville graduating seniorsBREKFAST for the past thirty-four years. Traditionally scheduled on the last school day before Thanksgiving, this year’s celebration resumed the “more normal” setting that gave participating Seniors time to bond as a class, unlike last year when distance protocols were in effect.

Bedazzled by the ambiance, the seniors entered the cafeteria with enthusiasm and an appetite. While Sayville’s Food and Nutrition department prepared a buffet-style breakfast—eggs, potatoes, rolls, waffles, fruit, and all the trimming along with juice and coffee—for over 230 Seniors, the Class of 2022 Co-Advisors Kaytie Ferremi and Caitlin Morrell and their planning committee went all out to make this day special, including an entertaining slideshow announcing Senior Superlatives. Those students recognized for attributes were called up to receive a token crown or sash, along with cheers and applause from classmates.

Thanks to the legacy established by one-time Senior Class Adviser Mrs. Marie Joost-Cox and former High School Principal Joseph Buderman, this wonderful tradition endures.
