Congratulations to the SayBayBlue Girls Varsity Swimming & Diving Team, who placed second in the Section XI Championships on Friday, November 4th! 

“I am so proud of these girls,” said head coach Nicole Mendez-Chicas. “They worked hard all season and it paid off, as all of the swimmers/divers achieved their personal best.”

Below are some highlights:

• Meghan Brady won 1^st place in the 200 Freestyle, earning her the title of "County Champion"

• Abby Hendershot, Shannon Swezey, Lauren Woody & Meghan Brady broke the school record in the 200 Freestyle Relay (taking down a 16-year-old record!)

Abby Hendershot, Shannon Swezey, Lauren Woody & Meghan Brady won 1^st place in the 400 Freestyle Relay, becoming County Champs!

The following girls will now go on to the NYS Championship in Webster, NY:

• Meghan Brady (200 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle Relay & 400 Freestyle Relay)

• Lauren Woody (100 Butterfly, 100 Backstroke, 200 Freestyle Relay & 400 Freestyle Relay)

• Shannon Swezey (200 Medley Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay & 400 Freestyle Relay)

• Abby Hendershot (200 Medley Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay & 400 Freestyle Relay)

• Grace Cullen (200 Medley Relay)

• Elaina Borowski (200 Medley Relay)
