Selected for Colors of Long Island

  • Sayville Elementary Artwork Selected for Colors of Long Island:Student Expressions Art Exhibit

     

    Two Sayville elementary students, Fourth-grader Maya Christiansen and Third-grader Katerina Michaelides, both from Mrs. Robin Laxton’s Cherry Avenue art classes, were selected to have their artwork exhibited in the Colors of Long Island: Student Expressions at the Long Island Museum in Stony Brook, from Feb. 26- May 1, 2016. This annual exhibition of artworks created by students in grades K-12 includes more than 300 works from 135 public and private schools across Long Island.  

     

    Maya and Katerina will be among those honored for their hard work and dedication at a reception at the museum.   Congratulations!
