Advances to All-Nationals

Congratulations to Jillian Brudi, Class of 2016, for another outstanding musical achievement in her high school career—her selection into the NAfME All-National Mixed Chorus. Jillian has built upon her impressive foundation of musical accomplishments to earn this status. As a sophomore, Jillian qualified for SCMEA All-County Mixed Chorus and won the part of Liat in the Sayville High School musical of South Pacific. In her junior year, Jillian qualified for NYSCAME All-County Women’s Chorus, NYSSMA All-State Mixed Chorus, NAfME All-Eastern Women's Chorus, as well as played the tap-dancing/singing part of Lois/Bianca in Sayville's Production of Kiss Me Kate. Now a senior, Jillian will be participating as a second soprano in the Mixed Chorus at the prestigious All-National Honor Ensembles, an exciting and unforgettable interactive celebration, in Nashville, Tennessee’s Gaylord Opryland Convention Center/Grand Ole Opry at the end of October.

“She is a leader in my groups at school,” remarked Sayville Chorus director Karen DiMartino, “and has been since she was a freshman. Jillian is one of the most mature and grounded high school students I've ever met.”
