Chinese New Year at Lincoln
Lincoln Avenue Kindergarten Celebrated the Chinese New Year
Festive cultural activities and traditional foods were all part of the Chinese New Year celebration for the Kindergarten students at Lincoln Avenue.
To welcome in the Year of the Sheep, the three Lincoln Avenue Kindergarten classes visited each other’s classrooms for a variety of activities including: creating a traditional fan, decorating a native farming hat, and enjoying a smorgasbord of Chinese food. The overall experience was a fun and engaging learning activity, but the delicious food, which was generously donated by a Lincoln Avenue family and business owner, Mr. Zhang of Beijing Kitchen, in West Sayville (near The Lemon Tree) satisfied every taste bud.
