At Sayville High School, the holidays wouldn’t be right without some traditions of giving—like Every Child’s Dream and the annual visit from the Sayville Academic Center. For both events, the high school halls were decked with bows of garland, snowflakes, lights, and enormous presents tied up with ribbons; there was even a painted backdrop of a fireplace for ambiance to ensure everything was happy and bright. 

During the visit from SAC, the Sayville High School Jazz Choir and Jazz Ensemble provided the sing-along entertainment, Santa’s Elves and Rudolf played “reindeer games” of all sorts with all the children, offered craft activities, provided assorted goodies, and Santa himself was a jolly presence who greeted every boy and girl with good cheer. Thanks to the combined efforts of the Music Department, the various High School clubs and service organizations, the occasion warmed every heart.
