    To TWO Wordmasters

    Last year, we had an amazing Fifth-grader from Cherry Avenue win the highest honors with a perfect score in  the WordMasters Challenge—a national language arts annual competition entered by approximately 220,000 each year.

    This year,  we have TWO PERFECT SCORE WINNERS: Brendan D'Andrea and Liam Cummings. Competing in the third interval Spring Challenge, in the most difficult Blue Division, Brendan and  Liam were among only 149 Fifth-graders nationwide to achieve this level.

    WordMasters coach at Cherry Avenue Mrs. Elizabeth Denton was thrilled by their success.  When they both were Fourth-graders, they had been recognized by WordMasters as most improved.  This year they are CHAMPS!
