September 21, 2020: The USDA recently announced that all school districts participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) could temporarily serve free breakfast and lunch meals to all students through December 31, 2020. We have now also received approval from the New York State Education Department (NYSED) to participate in this offering for free meals. Therefore, beginning Wednesday, September 23, 2020, breakfast and lunch will be free for ALL students. Please note that this free meal program is only temporary, and is scheduled to end on December 31, 2020, OR until we are given notice from the NYSED prior to this date.

The final Board of Education Business Meeting for the academic year is scheduled for Thursday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the High School Auditorium. To live-stream this event, please use the following link:
Please note: Due to in-person limitations and the overwhelming number of award recipients being honored at this BOE meeting, the scheduling of the Awards portion of the meeting will be staggered. Scholastic Awards will begin at 7:30 p.m. These will be followed by Athletic Awards. After the distribution of all the awards--which is approximated to be between 8:30 to 8:45--community members who wish to attend the General BOE Business Meeting may enter.

The Sayville Board of Education held a BOE meeting onJune 9th, at 3:00 p.m. After opening the meeting, the BOE will immediately move to executive session. When the BOE returns from executive session, it will move to adjourn. This event will not be streamed.

Guidance on mask use indoors remains in place. Pending his executive order, the Governor intends to remove mask mandates for outdoor activities.

June 11 is the last day of this service for all eligible Community and Staff members, provided by Advanced Diagnostics for the Moderna Vaccination, along with testing for COVID-19, COVID-19 Antibodies, and Spike Proteins of the fully vaccinated. Also note, the time frame for our last testing day has been shortened. It will now be from 9AM – 12:30PM.See the flyers at the link
