Resident Alerts
Resident Alert System
Dear Sayville/West Sayville Community Residents:
Re: Sayville Public Schools Resident-Alert
System
What if there were an intruder alert in your neighborhood? What if there were another kind of emergency or crisis occurring nearby? How would you know immediately so you can take action to protect yourself and your property?
Keeping you informed about emergencies and community alerts within the area is very important. That is why Sayville School District would like your help in creating an “emergency-only” database for residents who do not have children enrolled in school.
Sayville Public Schools already has an effective emergency-contact system, that includes emergency calls, website and email notifications, to alert all families who have school-age children. If local law enforcement agencies issue warnings to Sayville School Administrators, the district can follow emergency measures, ensuring student/staff safety.
However, when public-safety issues arise, there is no method for contacting the remaining population—because these residents are outside the Sayville Public School emergency-notification system.
If you would like to benefit from this optional service and receive emergency notifications via a Sayville Public Schools Resident-Alert System, please print out the PDF, fill in the form, and mail to:
