Rhonda L. Meserole, CPA, Assistant Superintendent for Business

On May 9, 2023, Sayville Public Schools appointed Rhonda L. Meserole, CPA, the new Assistant Superintendent for Business. 

Rhonda comes to the district from Seaford UFSD, where she worked in the same position for the last three years. Prior, Rhonda served as the treasurer in the Village of Sag Harbor working on the financing for a waterfront revitalization project, budgeting, and other treasury duties. 

Rhonda spent most of her accounting career as a Partner in the firm of Pappas & Company where she enjoyed servicing many governmental entities on Long Island from school districts to libraries and villages. Her experience with school districts extended to all types of auditing and encompassed many school districts on Long Island, including Sayville Public Schools. 

 Rhonda earned her BA degree from Hofstra University in Accounting, a master's degree in educational administration from LIU Post as well as an advanced certificate.  As a Certified Public Accountant licensed in NYS, she is well versed in strong internal controls and the financial acumen it takes to serve Sayville Public Schools in her new position.

As Assistant Superintendent for Business she will oversee a $102 million dollar budget. In addition to the business office operations, she is also responsible for supervising facilities, transportation, and food services.
