Sunrise Drive Science Fair

Students from Science Drive who will be representing the school with their science fair project at the Brookhaven Lab.

Finley Wade won the PTA Reflections for Suffolk County in Intermediate Music Composition and won at the State Level. Olivia Donals won the PTA Reflections for Suffolk County in Intermediate Music Composition. Alexa Charles won the PTA Reflections for Suffolk County in Intermediate Photography and advanced to the New York State Level. Joseph Parisi and Lila Jones won the PTA Reflections for Suffolk County in Intermediate Literature. Keira Aarne won the PTA Reflections for Suffolk County in Intermediate Literature. Avery Moritt won the PTA Reflections for Suffolk County in Intermediate Literature and advanced to the New York State Level. Regan Britz won the PTA Reflections for Suffolk County in Primary Dance. Cody Rickert won the PTA Reflections for Suffolk County in Primary Music Composition and was chosen to advance to the New York State Level. Penelope-Rae Rasmussen won the PTA Reflections for Suffolk County in Primary Photography. Christopher Merlo and Blake Pintar won the PTA Reflections for Suffolk County in Primary Visual Arts. Hayden Britz won the PTA Reflections for Suffolk County in Intermediate Dance. 

 

Cherry Avenue Artists

 

Two elementary students received citations for their art.

Congratulations to Grayson Nyholm who had his work featured in the B.A.F.F.A. (Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts) Art Show and Mia DePietto for her outstanding work on display throughout the district, including at the Sayville Library during the month of March.

Lincoln Avenue Artists

Two students from Lincoln Avenue were recognized for their artwork.

Congratulations to Lincoln Avenue students Penelope Brownstein and Carly Cocchi who were recognized for their outstanding artwork. Penelope was recognized for her outstanding use of pastel, paint, and collage to create artwork inspired by Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night. Carly Cocchi was recognized for her outstanding artistic skills across all media.

Sunrise Drive Artists

Two Sunrise Drive students received recognition for their artwork.

Congratulations to Sunrise Drive students Evelyn Bonilla and Colby Gavin who received citations for their excellence in art. Evelyn was recognized for receiving the Art Leadership Award and Colby was recognized for his excellence in the Art Room.

Middle School Artists

Middle School artists were recognized for spearheading a new mural club at the Middle School.

Congratulations to Middle School students Katherine Sinacori, Kayla Berman, and Rylee Flynn who were recognized for spearheading a new mural club at the Middle School and have been hard at work on beautification projects at the Middle School.

High school senior Emma Dean-Stahl was recognized for winning a prestigious art award.

High school student Morgan Carberry was recognized for winning a BAFFA scholarshipo
