National Anthem
Students from the high school's Intro to Guitar class performed the National Anthem to open the meeting.
Varsity Girls Volleyball Team
The Varsity Girls Volleyball Team was recognized for being the 2023 Class A Suffolk County Champions. Varsity Girls Volleyball Head Coach Debra Urso and Assistant Coach Jamie Termotto were recognized for leading the team.

Varsity Game Day Cheerleading Team

Dicks Sporting Goods Power Panel Representative
Sayville High School Athlete Maura Reilly was recognized for being a member of the Dicks Sporting Goods Power Panel. Maura is one of only 20 girls around the country chosen to be on this panel that provides direct feedback to Dick's Sporting Goods on how to better market their products. Maura is a member of the Girls Soccer, Girls Basketball, Girls Golf and Unified Basketball Teams.

Sayville High School student Meghan Brady was recognized for her achievements on the Varsity Girls Swimming & Diving Team. Meghan was the Suffolk County Champion in the 200 Freestyle, the Suffolk County Champion in the 400 Freestyle Relay and achieved All-State in the 200 Freestyle as well as All-State in the 200 Freestyle Relay.

Sayville High School student Morgan Reese was recognized for her accomplishments on the Varsity Girls Volleyball Team. Morgan was named the League V Player of the Year, Sensational Best of the Best in the County, AVCA Best and Brightest, and Exceptional Senior - Suffolk County Player of the Year. In addition, Morgan received All-State honors, AVCA All-Region honors, Newsday All-Long Island honors, and AVCA First Team All-American honors.

Staff Recognition
Sayville High School teachers Anthony Calabrese and Zachari Gallo were recognized for their dedication and hard work during the month of November for bringing awareness to Men's Mental Health. In conjunction with the high school's SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) committee, Mr. Calabrese and Mr. Gallo created, supported, and executed the Movember Celebration to bring awareness to men's mental health and to remove the stigma that exists. The initiative raised over $600 that will be donated to the Movember Foundation and the Senior Class. The Movember Foundation works to increase awareness of the importance of men's mental health and suicide prevention.

Staff Recognition
Sunrise Drive Elementary School staff member Dean Painter was recognized for his dedication and charitable work. For over a decade, Dean has been recycling the cans and bottles from Sunrise Drive and collecting the deposits to donate to charity. Sunrise Drive Principal Dr. Jim Foy said that about once a month a flyer is posted in the halls of the school sharing the organization or family that will be the recipient of the money collected for that month. The flier also contains a running total with how much money has been collected overall. On average, Dean collects and donates $100 a month. Last month, Dean and his Painter Project reached a milestone of $10,000 collected and donated.
