Students recognized for their work in the RISE and RISE Tech Program.

Students were recognized for their accomplishments in the high school's R.I.S.E. (Research in Science & Engineering Technology) and R.I.S.E. Tech program.

Students recognized for participating in the South Asian American Women

Students Kylie Person and Meredith Albertelli were recognized for their participation in the South Asian American Women's Alliance Science Fair Competition.

November 15, 2023 BOE Citations.

R.I.S.E Science Research students Julia Sack, Carly Cangelosi, Alana Carpenter and Paige Manning were recognized for their participation in the Barcode Long Island program sponsored by the Cold Spring Harbor DNA Learning Center. The team of students collected samples of Lichens from Brookside County Park and analyzed the DNA of each sample to compare with environmental factors affecting biodiversity. Their project was titled "The role of temperature, relative humidity and CO2 concentrations on biodiversity of lichens at Brookside County Park in Sayville, NY."

Students Meredith Albertelli and Ian Donenfeld were recognized for completing the A.C.E. (Architecture, Construction & Engineering) Mentorship program from start to finish. The A.C.E. Mentorship is a free after-school program for high school students interested in careers in architecture, construction and engineering. The program allows students to participate by working with an architecture firm on Long Island providing the students with real-world experience.

Student Jordan Lucke was recognized for completing the H.C.I.P. (Health Careers Internship Program) Program from start to finish. The H.C.I.P. Program allowed students to get first-hand experience working with individuals in the healthcare industry to better understand their careers.
