High School Business Students Participate in Trade Show Exhibition

January 18, 2024

On Wednesday, January 10, high school students from Sayville’s Virtual Enterprises International Firms participated in the Long Island Regional Trade Show Exhibition.

Student executives from each firm presented their business plans and participated in trade show activities by selling their virtual products. Students also participated in a variety of in-person competitions, including Best Booth Design and Best Sales Materials.

Protector's Insurance Company taught by Mr. Coon won first place for Best Sales Materials and Shore2Shore, taught by Ms. Michaelson won second place for Best Booth Design.

All three firms from Sayville gained valuable experience interacting with students from across Long Island and demonstrating their business skills!

All three Virtual Enterprise International firms have completed the requirements for Circles of Excellence gold status in period 1 (September 2023 - October 2023) and period 2 (November 2023 - December 2023). The Circle of Excellence (formerly known as the Virtual Enterprise Top 50) is a composite method to identify top firms in the Virtual Enterprise program by measuring the achievement of targeted initiatives throughout predefined periods in the school year. The students are now preparing for their international trade show in April.
