Integrated Athletics Team Takes on Top Golf

Sayville High School students on the Integrated Athletics Team recently participated in the inaugural Top Golf Program with the Special Olympics.

The pilot program aimed to spread inclusivity and respect to the game of golf. Each week throughout the months of January and February, athletes traveled to Top Golf to learn the game and have fun. Athletes demonstrated immense growth throughout the program.

On Thursday, February 15, student-athletes participated in the Special Olympics’ first ever Top Golf Competition with seven other school districts.

Each team was composed of an athlete and a partner and competed in a division made up of roughly eight other pairs.

Congratulations to the Sayville athletes who took home the bronze, silver and gold medals in their respective divisions!
