Lincoln Avenue Student Council Keeping Busy!

The Lincoln Avenue student council certainly kept busy over the holiday season!

The voluntary club, composed of fifth graders at the school, created decorations for Lincoln’s SRP (School Related Professionals) celebration, ran a Thanksgiving food drive for Sayville families and collected toys for the Marine Corp Toys for Tots program.

Lincoln Avenue Student Council advisors Jen Order and Gina LoCurto said that for each activity students were willing to stay past the given time to make sure all the sorting, boxing, and bagging was complete.

“Not only do they volunteer their time during the meetings, they spend a significant amount of their own time working on projects for the cause,” the advisors said.
