Students Prepare for Middle School at Sixth Grade Orientation

On Tuesday, August 29, Sayville Middle School’s incoming sixth graders returned to the school for Sixth Grade Orientation. 

The students, who had previously come for locker day, were once again greeted by Principal Dr. Joseph Castoro and Assistant Principal Brian Decker as well as some of the sixth grade teachers. Orientation began in the auditorium with an info session before students had the opportunity to go into the hallways and explore their new school. 

Students had the opportunity to meet with some of their teachers and tour the building, familiarizing themselves with their classrooms and learning how our school runs. While receiving chromebooks students also got the chance to catch up with old friends and meet some new classmates. 

What a great way to start off this upcoming school year!
