Sunrise Drive Students Enjoy In-House Field Trip

On Tuesday, January 16, the fifth grade students at Sunrise Drive enjoyed an in-house field trip with graduate students from Stony Brook University. 

During the “field trip”, students learned about circuits, the engineering design process, simulations, simple programming and created a smart night light with four modes of function. 

The program was brought to Sunrise Drive for the first time by STEAM/STRETCH teacher Jennifer Horton with the Sayville Education Foundation sponsoring the event.
