Two High School Musicians Attend NYSSMA All-State Conference

Each spring, the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) holds auditions for music students to evaluate, grade and rank their solo performances. Based upon these auditions, music students statewide are selected to perform in several prestigious musical venues.

Having received the highest grades and excellent rankings for their superior performances, two Sayville High School music students attended the NYSSMA All-State Conference in Rochester, N.Y. this past weekend, November 30 - December 3, 2023. 

Senior Emily Helbock (Principal Horn) performed with the All-State Symphony Orchestra while senior Brandan Mazzullo (Lead Alto) performed with the All-State Jazz Ensemble.

On behalf of the Sayville community, Sayville Music Department chairperson Mr. Ari Kramer congratulated the Sayville musicians for this achievement.
