Varsity Girls Volleyball Wins 2nd Consecutive Class A Suffolk County Championship

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Volleyball Team for winning their second consecutive Class A Suffolk County Championship on Friday, November 3!

The team will play in the Long Island Championship this upcoming Friday, November 10, at 2 p.m. at SUNY Old Westbury. 

“I am beyond proud of all of these girls,” said Head Coach Debra Urso. “They have worked every day to get to where they are. The culture of this team is amazing. Each girl is driven to get better for themselves and for the team. Each girl pushes the next to be the best player they can be. That is hard to find in every athlete on a roster and we have that. We lost two amazing players this season to injury. When they both went down, a lot of Suffolk County counted us out, but not us. We knew what we had to do to accomplish our goals we set at the beginning of the season. We knew we would have an uphill battle and that several girls would have to change their role for what was best for the team, and each one of them stepped up to the challenge without a doubt or question in their mind. These girls are 16 of the most coachable athletes a coach could ever ask for. I am beyond proud of their accomplishments and will cherish the resilience of this team and the memories we are making together.”
