World Languages Honor Society Inducts Over Thirty New Members
January 12, 2024
Congratulations to the Sayville High School students who were recently inducted into the World Languages Honor Society (WLHS) on Monday, January 8, 2024!
“We are incredibly proud of our newest inductees and returning members for celebrating their commitment to World Languages,” said advisors Victoria Ross and Maria Ranzino.
“These young men and women have demonstrated a passion for language, culture, and the world around them and are certain to be ambassadors for inclusivity in the future.”
During the ceremony, inductees recited a pledge in either Spanish or French promising to help uphold a diverse society that celebrates cultural differences.

WLHS Pledge
I promise that I will not judge others based on cultural differences.
I recognize that these differences create a society that is not just diverse,
but integrated in dialogue and harmony.
I will encourage others to express themselves culturally
And take each opportunity as a learning experience.
I accept this challenge as an honor and promise to become a positive force
in my community
And to help others understand the importance and value of
multiculturalism.
