Halloween Window Painting 2016

In the Spirit of Halloween, Sayville Students Paint Storefront Windows

Sayville students were not discouraged by the unusual “summer’ weather—with temperatures registering in the 80s and humidity on the rise—on October 19th when they came with their paints and brushes. They had the Halloween spirit and were eager to share their creativity.

For quite some time, generations of Sayville art students have been expressing themselves with the annual Halloween Window Painting in Downtown Sayville. Again this year, Sayville High School and Middle School art students made their annual visit to paint the storefront windows with Halloween themes. Just in time for Sayville’s Fall Festival, images of ghouls, goblins, and ghosts, designed by the students and approved by the Art Department’s selection process, were on display.

Thanks to the Kiwanis Club members’ unwavering support with their donation of painting supplies and the Sayville Art department faculty who matched the students’ artworks with participating merchants, this partnership between the Sayville community and the schools has remained a BOO-tiful tradition.
