CLASS 2018 Celebrates at
Senior Breakfast
Thirty years ago the first Senior Breakfast was launched by Senior Class Adviser Mrs. Marie Joost-Cox and former High School Principal Joseph Buderman. Ever since, the annual Senior Breakfast has become a tradition of good food, quality time to bond, a chance to take a nostalgic look back at the class history, and a moment of thanks to all those who have made their journey memorable.
This year, Senior Class of 2018 Advisers Jennifer Sohl and Tracey Trentowski took charge of the celebration. Along with class officers and the Breakfast Committee, they decorated the cafeteria with streamers, purple and gold table clothes, balloons, and centerpieces. Steaming trays of everyone’s favorites: sausage, bacon, egg, French toast, and home fries, along with bagels, mini-muffins, trays of holiday cookies, juice, coffee, and all the trimmings were provided by The Sayville Sandwich and served by volunteer Senior Class parents.
In addition to the tasty fare, the entertainment portion of the Breakfast acknowledged select members of the class with Senior Superlatives for which the lucky recipients received applause and gold (Burger King) crowns. Later, a video by Jeremy Hirsch and Matthew Castagna highlighting their years together, was shown in the auditorium.
Special kudos to Advisors Sohl and Trentowski along with the Senior Class Senior officers Chris Castelli, Marnie Monahan, Joseph Ferrera, Meghan Hart, Amelia Flaumenhaft, and Jeremy Hirsch for their hard work in preparing the annual event.
