Sayville High School Safe-Driving Event Organized by SADD
“Thanks to the members of SADD,” advisors Ms. Susan Censoplano and Mrs. Kim Sznitken reported, “and their president Lauren Vahle, the students of Sayville High School participated in a distracted/impaired-driving program in an effort to help students make healthy decisions. Under the direction of Officer Robert Copozzi of the Suffolk County Police Department’s Highway Patrol Bureau, the police officers guided students through walking stations, a distracted-driving simulator, and through cone courses with pedal buggies. These stations set up in their physical education classes gave students a hands-on experience that highlighted the dangers of driving while impaired or distracted.”
