Eighteen Years Later, Sayville Middle School Holds a Remembrance
While the momentous events of 9-11 will never be forgotten by those who lived through the experience, for the current middle school students, born years after the event, September 11th is a day in history. To ensure this anniversary is not just “another date in history,” the Sayville Middle School community held a moment of silence. After, the students showed their respect by planting American flags around the flagpole in front of the school.
