National Recognition for Members of Sayville Girls Varsity Field Hockey Team

Congratulations to members of the Sayville Girls Varsity Field Hockey team for receiving the following National recognition:

This morning, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA), announced the 2019 High School National Academic Squad honorees. Over 2,300 student-athletes from more than 270 high schools across the country have been named to the 2019 Keith Waldman — Optimal Performance Associates/NFHCA High School National Academic Squad.

The High School National Academic Squad program recognizes those high school seniors and juniors who have achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted grade-point average of 3.50 out of 4.0 — or the equivalent — through the first quarter of the 2019-20 school year.

Seniors and juniors who have achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.9 out of 4.0 — or the equivalent — through the first quarter of the 2019-20 school year have been recognized as Scholars of Distinction. Student-athletes who have earned Scholar of Distinction honors have been marked with an asterisk.
