All-State Musicians Recognized
Congratulations to the following students who have been chosen as All-State Musicians for demonstrating musical excellence on two of the most-difficult instruments to master:
Emily Rosado—for violin in the All-State Symphonic Orchestra.
Ryan Van Boxel—for trumpet in the All-State Symphonic Orchestra.
Grace Urmaza—for first violinst in the All-State Symphonic Orchestra.
While the 2020 Winter Conference in Rochester, along with all New York State AREA ALL-STATE FESTIVALS for the 2020-2021 academic school year have also been CANCELLED, a virtual concert with these students’ individual submissions will be combined in a concert broadcast at some future date. “Sayville Music Department,” stated Music Department Chairperson Jeff Hoffman, “is proud of these students and wishes them luck on their musical journeys.” Sayville School District also proudly recognizes the musical abilities of these students for representing the Sayville community in the prestigious ensembles.
