Twenty-three Earn New York State Seal of Biliteracy
"This year,' announced World Languages Department Chairperson Stephanie Bricker during the June 7th, 2021 Scholastic Awards Program, "we are very proud to celebrate twenty-three members of the Senior Class who earned the New York State Seal of Biliteracy. The New York State Seal of Biliteracy (NYSSB)," Mrs Bricker continued, "recognizes high school graduates who have attained a high level of proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in one or more languages, in addition to English. The Seal of Biliteracy encourages the study of languages, identifies high school graduates with language and biliteracy skills for universities and employers, prepares students with twenty-first century skills, and affirms the value of diversity in a multilingual society."
