Cherry Avenue Cookie Baskets Bring Good Cheer to Local Nursing Home in Time for St. Patrick's Day
Irish saying: May you only grow old in the face;
Be treasured and cared for with grace.
For St. Patrick’s Day, Cherry Avenue faculty and staff demonstrated how much they “treasured and cared” about the residents and staff at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Sayville. They used their recent collection of Denim Dollars to donate two St. Patrick's Day themed baskets of cookies (baked and individually packaged by Sayville Food & Nutrition Department).
Upon receiving the cookie baskets, Jeannean Thomasch, Director of Recreational Therapy at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, shared "how wonderful the cookies were and how it made everyone’s day, both staff and residents!"
