Cherry First Graders Seeing the Light Thanks to Brookhaven National Labs Virtual Field Trip

All the First-grade classes (Baryk, Chazan, Teufel, Metzler, Hooks) at Cherry Avenue recently enjoyed an enlightening remote field trip with scientists from Brookhaven National Labs. “The teachers from Brookhaven ZOOMED into the classrooms,” Mrs. Baryk explained, “and taught about light energy, mixing colors of light, and shadow! They then answered questions that the students had! This interactive program brought science into our classroom and helped us learn more about the Brookhaven Lab and all their scientists!”
