Girls Swimming/Diving League III Champs!

Coach Nicole Mendez-Chicas was elated by the recent achievements of the Sayville/Bayport/Bluepoint Girls Varsity Swimming & Diving Team. They won the League III Championships on Friday, April 16.

“It was a very exciting meet,” she said, “with more girls making Suffolk County qualifying times (Chloe Jeffares in the 100 Freestyle and Taylor Carpentieri in the 100 Breaststroke), Brenna Horan making the NYS Qualifying time in the 100 Butterfly, and Jordan Carpentieri breaking the school record in the 100 Butterfly with a meter time of 1:04.87! The following girls will now be competing this coming Thursday, Saturday & Sunday at the Section XI Championships: Liz Bossert, Kathryn Brady, Jordan Carpentieri, Taylor Carpentieri, Emma Haas, Haley Hendershot, Brenna Horan, Chloe Jeffares, Calla Kolar, Jillian Rastello, and  Shannon Swezey.
