High School's Annual Club Fair in a Virtual World

Carrying on in a virtual world
For the past three years, Sayville High School’s student government has been sponsoring an Annual Club Fair to encourage new memberships in extracurricular activities. Usually in late August, representatives from each club or class would paint the café windows for the opening of school and during the week-long Club Fair they would tend a station at lunch to inform students of their club.
“Due to social distancing mandates,” explained Student Government Advisor Katherine Van Dorn, “and the inability to share art supplies, we are unable to do that, so we made the video and hung signs.”
This week during the virtual 2020 Club Fair, the video about the clubs will be running in a loop at all four lunch periods and on Wednesday, October 7th, Sayville’s SoBols is helping with a fundraiser.
