Lincoln Students Interview a Favorite Author for Podcast
Lincoln Students Create Podcast with Author
As part of a podcasting project with the fifth grade classes, Lincoln Avenue Librarian Kateri Volpe arranged for two students Autumn Ring and Kara Morris to interview local author, Amy B. McCoy via Zoom. Ms. McCoy is the author of, Little Big Sister and Little Big Sister on the Move, both inspired by her son’s autism.
Fifth-graders Autumn and Kara had met Ms. McCoy in person before, in the spring of 2019 when, as third graders, they had taken part in a book club and Ms. McCoy had been a guest author.
In preparation for the Zoom interview, the girls generated thoughtful questions and wrote a podcast script prior to the interview. The complete interview is episode 2 on The 5th Grade Experts podcast which is now available on the Lincoln Avenue Library website.
