Hi Everyone!
We would like to share a labor of love with you that we are so proud of! We have teamed up in elementary music to put on a "holiday" performance to share with our community since we cannot have any concerts this year.
Every grade level K-5 has had a music selection to study from the Nutcracker, by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, in their curriculum. They have all studied musical concepts like beat, rhythm, melody, form, and instrumentation to a familiar portion of the entire work. We have made some COVID modifications to each lesson and decided to film each performance. We even had a few of the remote students volunteer to perform! The story and selections have been placed in the same order as George Balanchine's production with the New York City Ballet.
