Sayville VFW Post 433 Announces Winner of “Voice of Democracy” Essay Contest
Sayville High School’s Cameron Alcabes, Class of 2021, has won the 2021 “Voice of Democracy” essay contest sponsored by Sayville VFW Post 433.
At the Post’s May meeting, Cameron, the son of Michael and Kara Alcabes, was presented the award, along with a check for $100 by Post Commander Bill Borthwick.
“A senior at Sayville High School,” announced Joan Furey, Sayville VFW Post 433 Public Information Officer, “Cameron will be attending The University of South Florida in Tampa this fall. We congratulate Cameron on his inspiring essay and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”
