Highest Rank -Eagle Scout- Earned by Six Sayville High School Students

Eagle Scouts Honored - presented by High School Principal Ron Hoffer and BOE Trustee Norm deVenau

Since the inception of the Eagle Scout award in 1912, 2.01 percent of eligible Scouts have earned Scouting’s highest honor.  So even though the percentage has been trending upward over the years, the award is still incredibly rare. Congratulations to the following students for earning the Eagle Scout Rank: Louis Albertelli, Evan Como, Brendan Dargis, William Kretz, Andrew Person, Michael Pitre.

Girl Scout Silver Award

The Silver Award is the highest award that a Cadette Girl Scout can achieve and the second highest award in Girl Scouting. Only 10 percent of Girl Scouts earn the Silver Award. In order to achieve this award, both girls had to first complete a “journey” which included a Take Action Project.  Congratulations to the following Sayville High School girls who have achieved this rank: Sophia Elderbaum, Victoria Elderbaum, Isabella Lundquist, Olivia Moynihan, Lauren Smalley, Emma Travaglia, Adria Vargas, Rachel Wiebke
