Sayville Students Show Sharpshooting Talents

Sayville Students Show Sharp Shooting Talents at 2022 Town of Islip Basketball Competition.

There were approximately 150 fourth-and-fifth grade boys and girls competing this year in the annual Town of Islip Sharp Shooter Basketball competition, held on Saturday, March 5, 2022.  “Sayville as a group did really well at the Town of Islip Sharp Shooter basketball competition,” Sunrise Drive Physical Education teacher Amy Chaimowitz reported, sharing in the pride of her Sayville PE colleagues. Congratulations to the following students and special shout out to Savannah for placing First among Fourth Grade Girls.

Savannah St. John, Sunrise Drive won 1st place - Fourth grade girls

Morgan Devane, Lincoln Avenue won 2nd place - Fifth grade girls

Anthony (AJ) Brink, Sunrise Drive won 3rd place - Fifth grade boys 

Kensie Cifuentes, Cherry Avenue won 3rd place - Fifth grade girls

Avianna Baldolato, Lincoln Avenue tied for 4th  - Fourth grade girls

Julia Madsen, Cherry Avenue tied for 5th - Fourth grade girls

Matthew McCormack, Cherry Avenue tied for 5th  - Fifth grade boys
