Valentines for Veterans at Sayville Middle School

Sayville Middle School Principal Dr. Joseph Castoro had received an email from County Legislator Anthony Picarillo informing the school about the "Valentines for Veterans" activity.

During tech class with Mr. Sampson and Mr. Krol, students put together and painted popsicle stick Valentines, while in Ms. Shannon Voyack’s class, they typed out the messages to go on the valentines. “This was the first time our class has done this,” Ms. Voyack noted, “The class made thirty valentines that were dropped off at Mr. Picarillo's office and he will be bringing them to Veterans' homes. The class really enjoyed putting them together and working in different classes to make it happen.”
