Year-Round Art Accomplishments of Sayville Students

Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide, high-school visual-art competition in each congressional district. The competition held last June gave recognition to two Sayville art students.  After their work had been reviewed and selected by Congressman Andrew Garbarino during the showcase, both Gianna Mirro (Winner, above photo, far left) and Christopher Cannetti (Honorable Mention, second from right) had their submissions exhibited at the Congressional Art Show in Washington D.C.

During the winter, four Sayville art students: Noelle Bartolotta, Elle Maslak, Christopher Mulligan, Lia Bickerton, had their works chosen by the Museum of Contemporary Art Long Island to be part of the Patchogue Arts Counsel’s interactive outdoor art exhibit, which projected their creativity on sites around the village of Patchogue for the holidays.  (See photos below.)
