High String Ensemble Travels to Each Elementary School
On Thursday, March 2, the High String Ensemble from the high school made their annual trip to each of the elementary schools in the district. For over ten years, conductor Ari Kramer and the ensemble have visited the elementary schools to motivate fourth and fifth graders in the study of their chosen string instrument as well as to help third graders choose a string instrument to study.
The young students loved the assembly. The visiting ensemble played familiar music from Aladdin, The Little Mermaid and Star Wars.
Mr. Kramer also asked the elementary students trivia questions and they enthusiastically shouted out their answers. One student from each building had the special opportunity to conduct the ensemble for the song "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.”
