Middle School Artists on Display at B.A.F.F.A.
On the weekend of March 25 and 26, over twenty Sayville Middle School art students had their work displayed at the Gillette House in Sayville for the annual B.A.F.F.A. Art Show.
The Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts or B.A.F.F.A. is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that strives to bring music, fine arts, and cultural events to the residents of Long Island.
Middle School art teachers Alexandra Schwenzer and Tiffany Pontieri said the art they chose for display was selected for one of two reasons; the piece really stood out or the student put in exceptional effort and time.
“Students appeared to be excited and proud to have their work displayed for the community to see,” the teachers said.
