Middle School Orchestra Students Participate in NYSSMA

Earlier this month, on May 12 and 13, Sayville Middle School orchestra students participated in NYSSMA at Islip Middle School. 

Students throughout Sayville Schools participate in NYSSMA. Students are given a performance evaluation that involves playing a graded solo from the NYSSMA Manual, playing scales and sight reading. 

Middle School Orchestra Director Karen Savage congratulated all Sayville Middle School orchestra students on receiving an ‘Outstanding’ rating on their individual solo performance.

Participating middle school orchestra students included Jane Southworth, Brayden Rothstein, Pravigna Unguturu, Cameron Dyckova, Gabrielle Whitcomb and Riley Chirico.
