Sayville Musicians Perform at NYSSMA Festival in Eastman Theatre

Each spring, the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) holds auditions for music students to evaluate, grade and rank their solo performances. Based upon these auditions, music students statewide are selected to perform in several prestigious musical venues.
Having received the highest grades and excellent rankings for their superior performances, four Sayville music students: Lauren Minasian, Emily Helbock, Luke Lundquist (All-State Symphonic Band) and Maya Guacci (All-State Mixed Chorus) performed in the All-State Festival in Rochester on Sunday, December 4, 2022.
Our Sayville students, joining other exceptional student musicians from around New York State, enjoyed the thrilling opportunity to work with guest conductors. The exciting weekend culminated in concert performances of the most challenging music before live audiences.
On behalf of the Sayville community, Sayville Music Department chairperson Mr. Ari Kramer congratulated the Sayville musicians for this achievement.
